What is Taekwondo?

Taekwondo is a Korean martial art that can be translated as “The way of the foot and the fist.” Developed as a combination of Japanese, Chinese, and ancient Korean martial arts, Taekwondo has quickly evolved into one of the most popular martial arts practiced today. At the Sydney 2000 Olympics, taekwondo became an official Olympic event and since then has only become more popular as a sport among people of all ages, across the globe.
